I haven't updated this in a while (again). Maybe it's just me, but i don't find writing these very fun. I'm just tired of looking at my previous journal everytime I log on.
I came back from Vancouver last week, but I forgot to tell about the awesome ironic things that happened along the way there. It was definitely a trip to remember. Apparently, according to Eddy, I'm a D.A.D. Danger Attracting Something... I forgot LOL.
Well on the first day, the dude who was supposed to show up at our house to drive us to the airport, couldn't find my house. So my dad had to end up speeding there in like 20 minutes. After we arrived, I realized I shouldn't have worn the pants that I did. There were these little metal buttons where my knees here, and there was a pocket beside them. At the security check, I had to have a pat-down before I could go through.
On the first day, we visited Victoria, BC. On the Ferry back, we had to take a small detour as there was this small boat that was sinking and sent out a distress signal. So we had to sail over, send a raft over, and wait for the coast guard. VERY interesting.
After that, we took a 4 day tour of the rocky mountains. On the first day, we passed by a burning lexus on the side of the road. EXTREMELY scary. It was just lying there in flames.
The weather had not been on my side. The sun had been very irritating, and just LOVES to go RIGHT behind whatever I want to take a picture of. When my grandparents want a picture with a landscape, it came out horrible. So luckily enough, I found a camera store, and picked up the cheapest Nikon flash I could find there. Surprisingly enough, it works extremely well.
All was well until the last day. We were driving through Roger's Pass, a pass through the rockies, when we suddenly passed by a truck that was, litterally, tipped over. Extremely interesting/surprising sight.
After making it back to our hotel in Richmond BC, we found out that a huge fire started in Kelowna, which we were in the previous day. I am very happy that we left when we did.
All in all, it was a very interesting vacation.
